How I prepare:
1) I use the app daily (on the train, during lunch break ) to test the concepts and phase. Then I write down the keywords which I didn't remember or understand.
2) Read the IMM book first time (go through) and try to solve the questions at end of each chapter. Take your own summary on the paper for each chapter.
3) Read the CPIM participant workbooks, take summary, solve the questions in the end and go back to IMM in case if you have any concepts not clear with.
Then I also use Flashcards (which size, which color, how to sort it depends on your learning system)

I have two types of cards: smaller one for concepts which I don't remember or forget it quickly from the app. Then one side with keywords, another side with whole explaination of this keywords.
A bigger one (like A5 size) for the summary from each chapter from participant books.
And of course you need to do the mock test in between to check if you really understand the concepts
